ENDZ Maverick Entertainment
ENDZ Maverick Entertainment was the first film project I worked on before attending film school. Working alongside director Curtis Schultz and Cinematographer Adam Raia, I spent 2 months working and learning everything I could from them about the filmmaking process, things like script and scene breakdowns, storyboards, and directing. My background up to that point had been mostly wedding videos, music videos for local rappers and some occasional live events. Curtis was working on a final project for NYU and I had just happened to buy a Canon XL1s which was the same model Adam owned and was using for the A camera. Being thirsty for more film project experience, I dove in and worked on as much on the project as Curtis would allow me to. That meant, on some days I was a second camera operator, but other days I worked on tasks assisting with casting, or finding locations, or even acting myself in the film. I had also been editing with Premiere Pro 1.0 at a local wedding studio so I can even remember times helping Curtis out with questions about how to resolve or workaround certain bugs Premiere had at the time. Odd enough, years later when I went to Full Sail University for a film degree, and who would end up being me editing teacher, none other then Curtis Schultz. Life has its ways of going full circle lets say.
