New Default Sort Order Optimizes Index Pages

Shopify Updates:

Enhancements to Default Sort Orders

We’ve revamped the default sort order for several key index pages in Shopify. These changes are designed to improve accessibility to your most relevant data and streamline inventory management.

Updated Sort Order Details

  • Products: Previously sorted alphabetically (A-Z), they will now display in the order of last created, with the most recent items appearing first. This adjustment ensures your newest products are front and center.
  • Purchase Orders: Instead of showing the last created orders, these are now sorted by expected arrival date, with future dates listed first. This helps you plan ahead effectively.
  • Transfers: Transfers are now also sorted by estimated arrival date, prioritizing incoming inventory with future dates displayed first.
  • Files: Files will now be sorted by last added, making it simpler to access your most recently uploaded assets.

Benefits of These Changes

These updates bring several advantages:

  • Boost efficiency by highlighting the most relevant inventory data.
  • Save time when managing products, transfers, and purchase orders.
  • Stay on top of future inventory arrivals to ensure seamless operations.

How to Use the New Sort Controls

Sort controls are conveniently located at the top right corner of index pages. Simply click on the available options to rearrange items according to your preferred criteria.
