Personalizing your Shopify Point of Sale (POS) terminal idle screen is now easier than ever! With the latest updates, you can apply your brand’s colors directly to your idle screens, creating a more cohesive and customized shopping experience. This feature supports both light and dark modes, allowing your brand aesthetics to shine in every environment.
What's New in POS Version 9.20 and Customer View Version 1.26
These updates enable you to inherit brand colors set in your Shopify admin, further enhancing the customer experience. If your store doesn’t already use custom brand colors, this is a great opportunity to add them!
Steps to Apply Brand Colors
- From your Shopify admin, navigate to Point of Sale > Settings.
- In the Devices section, click Customer Displays.
- Select Idle Screen.
- Optional: Add or edit your brand colors:
- To set up new brand colors, click Add Brand Colors and input your chosen colors.
- To edit existing colors, click Edit Brand Colors and adjust as needed.
- Under the Idle Screen section, choose Apply Primary Color 1 and Contrasting Color to apply your brand scheme to the standby screen of your POS terminal.
- Click Save to finalize your changes.
