What Happens When You Delete a Connection?
- The link between your Shopify stores will be permanently removed.
- An email notification will be sent to the other party involved.
- Imported products from the deleted connection will have their inventory reset to 0.
- No new orders can be created with the disconnected supplier or retailer.
- Order syncing will cease immediately.
Steps Before Deleting a Connection
Before severing ties, it’s important to address key considerations:
- Discuss any outstanding payments for fulfilled orders with your supplier or retailer.
- Agree on how to manage unfulfilled orders to prevent disputes.
- Ensure transparency in all communication to maintain professionalism.
Retailers should note that deleting a supplier does not impact payments for fulfilled orders, and refunds can still be processed as usual. Plan inventory adjustments and workflow changes before executing the deletion.
