Overview
Exporting user data in bulk is essential for security audits and compliance reporting. Shopify enables merchants to extract detailed user management data directly from the Admin panel into CSV files, streamlining the auditing process.
What Can You Export in Bulk?
With this feature, you can export the following data types:
- Users: Includes roles, group assignments, and store assignments.
- Roles: Detailed permissions assigned to each role.
- Groups: Grouped roles and store assignments (available on Plus plans).
- User Activity Logs: Includes event types and specific details of actions performed.
Where to Find the Export Option
The Export button is available on the following pages in the Shopify Admin under Settings:
- Users: Export all user data.
- Users > Roles: Access role-specific data.
- Users > Groups: Available on Shopify Plus plans for group export.
- Users > Security > User Activity Logs: Includes detailed logs of user activities.
Who Can Use This Feature?
This feature is accessible to store owners and administrators on all Shopify plans. Administrators on the Shopify Plus plan also have access to group-based exports.
