Native Exchanges for Facebook Orders
Starting August 26, 2025, managing Facebook (Meta) orders is now smoother than ever. Merchants can now add exchangeLineItems as an input in the returnCreate mutation, just as they do for other orders. This change eliminates the need for complex workarounds and simplifies exchange processing.
What Does This Mean for Merchants?
- Facebook orders created on or after August 26, 2025, support native exchange processing.
- The new functionality is available across all supported GraphQL API versions.
Return Fees for Facebook Orders
In addition to exchange functionality, Facebook orders placed on or after the same date now also support return fees. Merchants can charge return fees through API integrations without requiring additional handling or manual steps.
Important Limitations
- Exchanges and return fees are unavailable for Facebook orders created before August 26, 2025.
