Faster Payment Processing for Indian Merchants
We're excited to announce an improvement to the invoice payment process for merchants in India. This update significantly reduces the time required to confirm payments and enhances the overall user experience.
What’s New?
- When making a payment, you're now redirected directly to your payment provider for seamless authentication.
- Payment confirmation time has been reduced from over 30 hours to around 30 seconds.
- Your payment will be securely confirmed within seconds, ensuring quicker order processing and less downtime.
How the Process Works Now
Previously, merchants had to:
- Wait for a payment notification from their bank.
- Navigate to their banking portal separately to enter an OTP (one-time password) and complete the payment.
With the improved process:
- Razorpay sends you an instant notification after initiating payment.
- You are redirected immediately to an authentication flow to enter your OTP and complete the payment.
This streamlined workflow makes manual invoice payments faster and more efficient.
Who Benefits from This Change?
This update applies to all merchants in India using manual invoice payments in their Shopify admin. It ensures that payment confirmations are nearly instant, giving you more time to focus on growing your business.
