Shopify Credit cardholders can now benefit from an increased cashback rewards cap, allowing for greater earning potential. This exciting update means you can earn 3% cashback on your top spending category for up to $250,000 USD in eligible purchases each account year, up from the previous $100,000 USD cap.
What Happens After You Reach the Cap?
Once you surpass $250,000 USD in your top spending category, your cashback rate adjusts to 1% for eligible purchases in that category for the remainder of your account year. Not only that, but you’ll continue earning 1% cashback on all other rewardable spend categories throughout the year.
How Cashback Rewards Are Calculated
Shopify Credit uses a tiered system to calculate cashback rewards based on your spending behavior. Here's how it works:
- Earn 3% cashback for purchases in your top spending category (up to $250,000 USD annually).
- Earn 1% cashback in your top category after surpassing the annual limit.
