Starting August 16, Shopify Markets Pro offers expanded functionality to support orders that include both physical and digital goods during checkout. This new capability provides merchants with greater flexibility to sell internationally and streamline their operations.
What’s New with Markets Pro?
Previously, Shopify Markets Pro restricted the sale of digital goods to international customers. Now, you can process orders containing a mix of physical and digital products, simplifying the checkout process and expanding your sales potential.
How Mixed Checkouts Are Managed
- For orders that include a mix of physical and digital goods, Shopify Markets Pro will manage the entire process, ensuring a smooth transaction experience.
- When a cart contains only digital goods, merchants remain the merchant of record, and the order will not qualify as a Markets Pro order.
Draft Orders and Digital Goods
It’s important to note that Shopify Markets Pro does not yet support digital goods in draft orders. To include both physical and digital goods in a draft order, you must send an invoice to collect payment at checkout.
