Markets Pro Now Supports Mark as Paid Orders

Markets Pro Now Supports Mark as Paid Orders

Shopify Updates:

Expanded Support for Markets Pro Orders

Effective Thursday, September 28, Markets Pro now supports orders marked as paid. This update allows merchants to enjoy increased flexibility while maintaining compliance with customs documentation and duties.

Key Changes

  • Markets Pro will continue to act as the merchant of record for orders marked as paid, except for orders with a zero-value total.
  • Orders with a zero-value total will still require the store to be the merchant of record for fulfillment.

How to Use the Mark as Paid Feature

Here’s how merchants can properly utilize the Mark as Paid feature to ship orders:

  • Complete the draft order by including the product(s) at their full price.
  • Mark the order as paid to ship it free-of-charge to the customer.

By maintaining accurate product pricing within the order, Markets Pro can generate correct customs invoice documentation as well as duties and import tax amounts.

Duties, Taxes, and Label Costs

Merchants will be responsible for:

  • The duties-pre-paid shipping label cost.
  • Any applicable duties and taxes on the order.

This update ensures that merchants can continue using Markets Pro as the merchant of record even when marking orders as paid, improving support for international transactions and compliance procedures.
