Simplifying POS Access for Plus Merchants
Managing POS access for a large team can be time-consuming and repetitive. To help simplify this process, Shopify Plus now offers an update that enables merchants to grant POS access directly from the Plus admin. This eliminates the need to wait for account activation, saving time and improving efficiency.
New Features for Faster Access
- Merchants can grant POS access to staff directly while assigning a Plus role in the Plus admin.
- New and existing users granted POS access will receive an email linking them to their “Users and Permissions” page.
- Users can reveal their own PIN in Shopify Admin by selecting their staff account under Settings > Users and Permissions.
Streamlined Role Management
If POS access is managed through roles in Plus, the option to enable or disable POS access in Shopify Admin > Settings > Users and Permissions is automatically disabled. Instead, the default role assigned will determine POS access permissions. Merchants can also change roles at the store level for added flexibility.
