New Features in Shopify Flow
Shopify Flow has introduced three powerful new features to help you automate tasks and streamline your workflow. These functionalities are designed to save you time and enhance the precision of your store's operations.
1. Customer Tags Added Trigger
When one or more customer tags are added, you can trigger a workflow to run automatically. This feature is useful for setting custom metafields or triggering specific actions based on tag additions. For instance:
- Automatically add a discount code when a VIP tag is added to a customer profile.
- Sync customer data to an external CRM system.
2. Customer Tags Removed Trigger
You can now create workflows triggered by the removal of customer tags. This allows for automated responses to tag changes such as:
- Sending an internal notification when a loyalty program tag is removed.
- Updating a segmentation list in your email marketing platform.
3. Update Product Status Action
This action enables you to change a product's status to Archived, Draft, or Active automatically. It is especially beneficial for inventory and promotional management. Examples include:
- Activating products when they are back in stock.
- Archiving seasonal products at the end of the season.
- Switching products to a Draft status for updates or revisions.
