Introducing Two New Shopify Flow Triggers
Shopify Flow has been enhanced with two powerful triggers to help automate inventory management tasks. These new triggers simplify workflows around product stock changes.
1. Product Variant Back in Stock
When a product variant transitions from being out of stock (0 or less) to back in stock (1 or more), this trigger allows you to set up automated tasks. For example:
- Automatically publish a product when one of its variants is restocked.
- Notify your marketing team to promote restocked items.
2. Product Variant Out of Stock
When a product variant moves from being in stock (1 or more) to out of stock (0 or less), this trigger enables you to take immediate actions. For instance:
- Send an alert email or Slack message to your inventory team.
- Automatically hide an out-of-stock product from your online store.
Using Inventory Quantity Changed Trigger
If you need to monitor inventory levels based on specific locations or track low stock levels, the existing Inventory Quantity Changed trigger is still the best choice. However, for simpler use cases, the new triggers offer a more streamlined solution.
Why These New Triggers Matter
By using these new Shopify Flow triggers, you can automate repetitive tasks, streamline stock management, and reduce the risk of errors. This improvement keeps your store responsive and helps you deliver a better experience for your customers.
