Save Time with Custom Sidekick Skills

Sidekick now lets you save your most useful prompts as custom skills that you can reuse whenever needed. Whether you frequently check yesterday's sales by product, create customer segments, or generate product descriptions in your brand voice, these prompts can be transformed into shortcuts to improve your efficiency.

How to Create Skills in Sidekick

  • Type / in Sidekick and select "Create new skill".
  • Alternatively, click the action button on any message you want to reuse and select the option to turn it into a skill.
  • Give your skill a descriptive shortcut name, such as yesterday-sales or product-description.
  • Manage up to 25 skills within Sidekick.

Using Your Skills in Sidekick

Once a skill is created, accessing it is simple:

  • Type / followed by your skill's shortcut to activate it instantly.
  • Use these shortcuts for tasks done regularly, such as pulling reports or creating content that matches your brand voice.

Sharing Skills with Your Team

Sidekick makes it easy to share skills with your teammates or other merchants:

  • Share a skill via a unique URL link.
  • When someone clicks the link, they can review the skill and choose to add it to their own collection.
  • All shared skills undergo safety checks to ensure they are secure and functional.

Boost Team Collaboration

Custom skills are perfect for improving workflows within teams. For example:

  • One team member could create a skill for weekly sales reporting.
  • Another could build a skill for writing product descriptions in your brand's tone and style.
