Discover the Updated Gift Cards Section
With the v9.160 update to the Shopify App, the Gift Cards section has been revamped to focus on issued gift cards. This new structure enhances consistency with the web version while maintaining functionality for users.
Key Features of the Update
- The primary Gift Cards screen now displays issued gift cards for easier management.
- You can still create new gift card products or issue new gift cards via the simplified + Add button.
- Previously created gift card products remain accessible in the Products section with filtering options to narrow the list to gift cards.
- Shortcut to a filtered view of gift card products via the Actions menu in Gift Cards for convenience.
Changes to the User Interface
The appearance of the screens for issuing and viewing gift cards has been updated to better align with the Shopify web experience. These changes aim to provide a seamless transition between platforms.
Removed Features and Workarounds
- The Gift Cards Overview screen, which previously displayed recently issued and updated gift cards, is no longer available in the app.
- To replicate this functionality, we recommend using sorting and filtering options for a customized view.
What's Unchanged
While the look and structure have evolved, there are no new features or removed functionalities in this update. Day-to-day usage remains uninterrupted, ensuring you can continue managing gift cards without disruptions.
